Dancing with the Stars is a US-based reality TV inspired by British television’s Strictly Come Dancing. The ABC TV hit show, now on its 16th season, is hosted by Emmy winner Tom Bergeron and co-hosted by various talented artists like Lisa Canning during its first season, Samantha Harris during its 2nd to 9th seasons, and Brooke Burke Charvet for its 10th season until its current 16th season run. In this show, celebrities are partnered with world-renowned professional ballroom dancers to participate in a dance off. Celebrity pairs compete against each other for the title of a champion awarded during the season’s finale. Since its premiere, numerous personalities have participated in this famous TV dance show including Jennifer Grey, Mario Lopez, Stacy Keibler, and Kelly Monaco among others. The judges and audience ultimately pick the best performances as well as vote out the pair with the worst dance performance.
One of the more notable professional dancers from Dancing with the Stars is Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The Ukranian-born Latin ballroom champion was able to reach the finals four times with his talented celebrity partners Laila Ali, Mel B, Erin Andrews, and Kirstie Alley. Maksim appeared in 13 seasons of Dancing with the Stars.
On February 20, 2013, Maksim Chmerkovskiy was spotted purchasing a watch from the Jacob & Co, the flagship boutique in New York City. He was seen entering Jacob Arabov’s jewelry shop with his brother, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, a professional ballroom dancer and participant of Dancing with the Stars as well.
Maksim purchased one of the awe-inspiring watches included in Jacob Arabov’s Grand Collection. His brother, Valentin purchased a prized timepiece from the same collection. The Grand Collection is described to showcase similar features as that of Jacob Arabov’s original Five Time Zone watches that displays four cities from around the globe. Both collections are crafted with high standards of craftsmanship and are made using precious metals, opulent stones, and the latest of watch-making technology. The four cities displayed on these watches, New York, LA, Paris, and Tokyo, are global hubs for both 24-hour commerce and a vibrant life style. Although the Grand Collection has several features identical to the classic, Five Time Zone watches, the former shows the local time on a dial which features the same dimensions as the other four time zones. The result of this unique and innovative design concept is a pentagon-shaped wristwatch that is unusually beautiful indeed.
Jacob Arabov started his watch and jewelry business in the late 1980s in New York’s Kaplan Jewelry District. With a burning desire to create highly innovative and timeless masterpieces, the New York designer was able to design and create iconic miniature pieces of art that are a hit among the rich and famous. His keen eye for beauty and impeccable taste in superior-quality rare diamonds and bold colorful gemstones has produced some of the most iconic watches and memorable jewelry collections worn by celebrities and high-profile personalities for red carpet events. Jacob Arabov’s lists of clients include big names like Brad Pitt, Valentino, Vanessa Hudgens, Bono, Jessica Alba, Mary-Kate Olsen, Madonna, Rihanna, and Tom Cruise.
