The Met Gala is an annual red carpet exhibition organized by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Costume Institute Gala, more popularly known as Met Gala, also signals the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s fashion exhibition, which will run from May 9, 2013 to August 14, 2013. One chic and trendy attendee to the Met Gala last May 6 2013 was fashion designer Rachel Roy who accompanied celebrity Stacy Keibler to her first ever appearance at the New York’s most fashionable social affairs. The designer worked closely with Stacy’s stylist Brad Goreski to create an edgy and yet super stylish sheer-sleeved mini dress for the actress to wear to the star-studded event. To top off her punk ensemble, Stacy accessorized with stunning pieces from the house of Jacob & Co. Stacy was spotted wearing a gorgeous Jacob & Co. 14-carat round cut diamond earrings. Rachel Roy shares the same fondness for the prestigious jewelry brand as the designer walked down the red carpet wearing a classy black jumpsuit accessorized with breathtaking Jacob Arabov creations including two chunky chains showcasing 18 carats of black plated gold, a black diamond cross with 10 carats of black diamonds, a four-finger claw ring featuring over 20 carats of white diamonds from the Feroce Collection, and a three-carat diamond stud earrings beautifully surrounded by luscious micro-pave diamonds.

Stacy Keibler and Rachel Roy were not the only Met Gala attendees who opted to finish their punk-related looks with opulent jewelry pieces designed by Jacob & Co. founder and lead designer, Jacob Arabov. Julianne Hough looked daringly beautiful wearing a full-skirted tulle dress featuring a magnificent spider web pattern from the British retailing giant, Topshop. She then polished her white and black outfit with two exquisite Jacob & Co. jeweled masterpieces- a customized spider ring showcasing one black Tahitian pearl, one white pearl, and diamonds and a pair of three prong Martini setting round cut black diamond stud earrings. British-born actress Ashley Madekwe graced the gala exhibition wearing a custom made Topshop silver dress punked up with Jacob & Co. customized diamond cross pendant earrings embellished with rose cut diamonds surrounded by micro pave diamonds. Celebrities Diane Kruger and Carine Roitfeld are also obvious fans of the New York jewelry designer’s creations as they were spotted wearing stunning Jacob & Co. pieces namely a custom-made palladium wing clip-on earrings with black and white diamonds and cushion-cut diamond ring featuring 10 carats of diamonds, respectively.
